This place sounds so sad everyone saying goodbye and jumping ship. I would be so sad to loose you all and no longer have this refuge of car people I call a small family. As far as I understand they just want to kill the user based pages. I hope that means that posting to Oppo and LALD etc is still a thing.

I will say one thing, if we do go down then this was one hell of a ride. But I really hope the lot of you all stick around and wait to see what happens.

Have you joined the Discord channel? While it looks like we have something of a reprieve here, it looks like most of Oppo’s regulars have found their way there. It is set up as a holding area for Oppos while Oppo 2.0 is under construction.   It would not be a long-term solution for Oppo, but it should keep the band together if/when we’re booted from Kinja.

This. Most of us have gone to the Oppo discord. It doesn’t mean we’re abandoning Oppo proper, we just joining there as a life raft in case Oppo kinja does go down! You are welcome to join us there. :)

NickDrivesAnExocet is working on coding a very kinja-like page that will go up on the oppositelock.com domain, which we already own. the discord is a temporary staging ground until that site is ready. :)
